The Ruta de las Flores is a scenic 36-kilometer journey through charming towns in the highlands of western El Salvador. Known for its vibrant festivals, bustling markets, coffee plantations, and stunning natural beauty—including waterfalls and hot springs—this route offers a memorable experience. Five towns are nestled along the Apaneca-Ilamatepec mountain range, with the most popular being Nahuizalco, Salcoatitán, Juayúa, Apaneca, and Concepción de Ataco.
Each town offers unique activities and attractions. In Ataco, coffee tours are a favorite, while in Apaneca, you can experience bike ziplining and the rainbow slide at Albania Restaurant. Juayúa is renowned for its famous waterfalls.
